“I am fairly new to the world of podcasts and this is one of the first I have tuned into on a regular basis. As are most listeners, I assume, I am a huge comic book fan. This show really fills the gaps in my week when I'm not able to read my comics, but still want to drift into that dreamscape for a little while. I enjoy the news and previews of upcoming books, and the hosts insights on the books that they are reading or have read. I find that often times, at least once a show I will get a different take on a book that never occurred to me, so that alone is worth the listen. Many other times, I am finding myself nodding along and feeling like I am in the same discussion with them. Another huge bonus - they regularly have high-profile creators as guests of the show, giving listeners a chance to really connect with the people who are collecting all of our hard-earned cash. What could they do to improve the podcast? Not much, but I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the sound quality (volume, mic noise, mic distance, etc.) is sometimes inconsistent. I realize these guys probably are not audio engineers (I certainly am not), but it is frustrating having to crank up some shows to 20 and having to listen to others at 10, sometimes all in the same show. “What i love about this podcast is that it is all enclusive for both the veteran and the beginning comic collector. The insights into the creation of comics is very interesting, but i love when they discuss the business side of comics. I would recommend the podcast to anyone.”
