fascinating and always pleasant :)
i love this podcast! it's incredibly informative and well-researched, and i absolutely love the narrator! they're never condescending or pretentious, and they always present things like they're reading from a well-loved and only slightly sardonic personal account of the art world. maybe they are! maybe they're immortal. this podcast MIGHT follow an immortal art historian talking about art history, but you'll have to listen to find out, won't you? ;) additionally, a fellow reviewer here on the app store expressed an inexplicable disgust in the narrator's ability to recognize that they (a white person) don't have the same perspective on the world as an artist (a black person whose work is built on expressing and discussing their experiences as a black person). i wanted to mention this to potential listeners because i don't want them to be put off by that weird review. i think that it's incredibly important when working within an anthropological topic such as art history to recognize your differing world view. it is wild how upset that person got, yo. this is just a time traveling art historian. tune in, my man.Read full review »
