Love that this podcast addresses how climate change affects indigenous peoples and that it is women centric. Very well done and informative.

The first thing that popped into my head listening to the first episode is Keb’ Mo’s “Put A Woman In Charge”. Grace Lynch will both slay and soften this subject through her brilliant perspective and thought process. And now on to another subject about how and what kids will learn or not learn in...Read full review »

I often return to As She Rises for the poetry, the music and the voices. Grace is a powerful voice in the coverage of climate, but more important she provides a space for voices we often never hear. This is the antidote to the doom and gloom reporting on climate that turns us off and that we tune...Read full review »

The personal stories do a great job of humanizing climate change. I appreciate the range of places that are included.

The only thing that makes me sad about this podcast is there’s not more of it. It’s beautiful insightful enraging hopeful and terrifying. It’s an intersectional female and environmentally driven this American Life. Please make another season!

This is the best podcasts I have ever listened to. I believe it took 2 years to make these 8 episodes. This hard work shows in the quality and depth of each episode. Climate change is an overwhelming topic to address, but each episode truly illuminates the important real life results of climate...Read full review »

As She Rises gives a new perspective on the climate crisis. The use of poetry allowed me to feel its impact on various under-represented communities. The activists allowed me to understand the broader scope of the issue and what can be done to help. Brought together in this unique way, host,...Read full review »

Excellent method of interviews with locals and or Indigenous individuals offering an education about practices that worked in the past for combating climate change. The poetry and background sounds and music remind us of the beauty of our earth and our responsibility to protect it.

Excellent podcast. Grace has a knack for painting a picture with her words and especially with the sounds she incorporates into each episode. Love the use of poetry as well. Very informative and interesting.

This is the smartest and most illuminating podcast I’ve listened to on the subject of climate change. Instead of all the doomsday numbers and science, this podcast makes you feel the pain and trepidation of climate change from the poets and activists on the frontlines. It also gives you hope!

The sound design is incredible and immersive. I also really appreciate The Island episode featuring/ prioritizing the poem in Spanish at the beginning (listen to the end for the English!). I’m so glad to be introduced to poets and activists I wouldn’t have otherwise encountered.

Terrific pilot. The host does a wonderful job framing the climate crisis in an approachable, thoughtful way. The two guests are great and really instructive. Grounding climate change by discussing the cultures we are losing is really novel. Sound design is eclectic and always on point. Excited...Read full review »
