I am on about my third time through his lectures. Since they are from 2006, the lectures predate the New Horizons mission to Pluto, the James Webb telescope, the M87 black hole image, and a host of other advances over the past 17 years. The principles in these lectures are timeless and still...Read full review »

I am too lazy to write reviews but this guy deserves it! I’m 61 and listen to this before bed each night —helps me fall asleep —not because it’s boring! It is fascinating and I want to thank you for posting the lectures and keeping them in iTunes!

I love this podcast, and never get sick of listening to it. if I only had 1% of his knowledge I'd be over the moon, (pun intended). And that person who left that nasty comment should be ashamed of himself, your mother must be so proud.Read full review »

I’ve been listening to Richard’s podcasts since around 2014. I’ve ran through them several times, so a lot of the stuff is drilled into me. Still listening in Spring 2021!

For it to be educational and enjoyable even without the graphics and 15 years later is a testament to the material and the presenter and I can listen along while driving and at work and look up the graphics and...Read full review »

Dr. Pogge recorded Astronomy161 in 2006. I found it, 162 and 141 in 2015. Still fascinating and informative. My work is such that I spend long periods alone on tasks that keep me busy but allow my mind to wander. He kept me riveted thru some one hundred and twenty 40 minute lectures.
