This podcast is amazing. It goes into the “how things work “ in all aspects of astronomy and the universe in a way that makes sense for everyone.

A focus on astronomy, and very little on space travel/exploration? Yes! Please, tell me how it all works! The entire team does a remarkable job. Thank you! One note; enough about the status of Pluto. Last I checked the Sun is a dwarf star. Are you next going to rave and rant how the Sun is not a...Read full review »

Astronomy Cast was the first podcast I ever listened to way back in 2008, all these years later it’s still going strong. Great show!

Fraser Cain & Dr Pamela Gay go above and beyond to communicate space science. For me is as if I sit in the company of good friends and discuss one of my favorite topics (space science) on my level of understanding, flavored with a little of everyday life. I also recommend Frazer’s other...Read full review »

Dude sorry about the pup, I love your podcasts though, get a new puppy and begin a new journey? Honestly, a new pup is so much work it is difficult to be sad because of the training, time and of course the love.

I discovered this on a trip with my friend who got tired of my music. We both love Astronomy, so it was an obvious choice to try out a podcast. More recently, I’ve been painting scenes all around this huge room alone at my job redoing a haunted house for this season. I soon got tired of my...Read full review »

I’ve been listening to Astronomy Cast since it’s “Big Bang”. I’ve learnt so much (wish I could remember it all) and finally went to Iceland to see the Northern lights prepped with the knowledge from the Aurora Borealis pod cast. Thank you Pamala, Frazer and team 👍🏼

This podcast is not one I would recommend to anyone, much less anyone who is very much interested in learning more about space and space adjacent topics. The conversations are framed very poorly and can in turn mischaracterize the subject matter at hand, leading to people likely coming out with...Read full review »

With the dynamic exchanges between experts such as Dr Pamela Gay and Fraser Cain, you really get to understand up-to-date subjects about astronomy and also environment. The pace is fine tuned, questions and answers on the point. I am happy to support this channel.

The host (Fraser) seems to think very highly of himself. Mostly pointing out in small ways that he’s better or smarter than you. As a graduate with 2 masters degrees in engineering, and one in astronomy I can tell you he’s not. He’s simply a pretentious narcissist whom seems to love to interrupt...Read full review »

This podcast is the one I always look forward to the most. I really enjoy the dynamic between Pamela & Fraser, along with the depth & relatability with which they treat each topic-those often seem to be treated as mutually exclusive, but Astronomy Cast has found the perfect habitable...Read full review »

Did I just hear Pamela go on an “oh poor me” extravaganza about how all her holidays are wrecked for her and her family by NASA’s scheduling? The program actually got to about 8:30 before she got around to the first one that occurred ‘during’ her career (in grad school).

Wonderful conversation and topics. Keep doing what you’re doing. Love it and no complaints.

Definitely one of my favourite space and science podcasts. I just wish that sometimes they would go a little bit more in depth with what they are talking about and the podcast could be longer… Even 45 to 60 minutes would be great.

Was looking for an informative, educational show, listened to a couple of the recent ones, I’m now knees deep in the back catalogue circa 2010…. Throughly enjoyable and easy to listen to. Highly recommend.

A new drinking game. Every time Fraser says “right,” you get to take a shot. You will be trashed by the end of the show.

Terrific conversations on the stars, space, the physics of the universe, and the science and engineering of how humanity gains its knowledge.

Astronomy cast had me thinking of the cosmos differently and far more deeply than before.

Condescending, rude, broadly unlikeable hosts complaining about funding and politics. Just because we can’t see you doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be embarrassed.
Cleverhanz via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 01/04/22
She opened the show talking about leaving America seemingly for “social justice issues?” It’s an astronomy podcast lol. What an absolute clown opinion.

My favourite podcast to listen to, and I have searched for so long for a podcast like this that covers everything. On multiple occasions, the hosts decide to speak on their politics and show their liberal bias. I listen for astronomy; if I wanted to listen to politics I would’ve subscribed to a different podcast. This is a joke. Unsubscribed.

Really enjoying this pod cast. A fantastic range of topics with the right balance of narration from the presenters - good science from the professor and journalist.

Wanted to listen to an episode about exo planet atmospheres, changed to another pod cast after 5 minutes of them talking about covid19, US protests and the championing of the “oppressed minorities”. I want science not social engineering.
