Can't you all just get along?
I love most Slate podcasts, but the book club always comes off as a battle for mic time; as if each participant is out to prove that he/she is the smartest of the bunch. While one might expect differing points of view from an obviously well read group to yield some greater insight, the static caused by the dysfunction and hostility makes these points quite difficult to discern.Read full review »
