I have enjoyed this show from the start. While I am a seasoned walker, I always find new things in episode and joining Tim and Jill’s adventures and interviews, and the good diversity of topics cover. As a scout leader, I often share episodes with parents of my scouts, to help them understand the...Read full review »

As a new hiker Tim and Gills journeys and information has been extremely valuable to me. I love hearing about their adventures and opinions. I often find myself going through their gear lists and reviews when needing something. Thanks so much for all you do for the hiking community.

Tim & Gill always offer such reliable info. Loved their Part 2 of the Cape To Cape episode. Bought back so many memories of doing that track myself. Glad I wasn't the only hiker to really struggle with all those deep soft sand sections which reeked havoc on my ankles & feet. Fantastic...Read full review »

A seriously enjoyable outdoors podcast. As an armchair dreamer I love the effort put into every Australia Hiker podcast. Whether from the track or the gear testing laboratory. Every episode interesting

I have recently stumbled across this podcast and am quite enjoying it. I’ve been doing relatively short hikes over the past few years, and am working my way up to overnight and multi-day hiking - I’m finding the podcast and interesting, relaxing and entertaining way to learn more about this.

I’ll be honest, I havn’t hiked since I was in the venturers ( scouts ). I’m now 60 and these days I tour around the countryside with my motorcycle mates ( I ride an adventure bike ). I like to listen to your podcasts when I go to bed. I like your show because I get to imagine walking along with...Read full review »

An acknowledgement of country and some gender inclusive language upgrades. Information is great but if we’re talking about moving through land, we should be acknowledging country. Also more than just women and men hike - some inclusion for non-binary/trans/gender fluid hikers would be great....Read full review »

Tim exudes confidence but when he makes mistakes about things I know, I wonder what he is getting wrong about what I don’t know. 2 examples: 1) He calls snowgums “mallee”. Maybe once, to describe them, but to repeatedly use that name is not a good look; 2) He called those bags that hang off...Read full review »

I really enjoy this podcast. I’m a subscriber & I look forward to each episode release, but after 3 years of listening there are a few things that could be improved. 1. Tim can be quite smug in his assessment of his ways of doing things. It doesn’t leave room for alternative ways and whys of...Read full review »

Absolutely love this podcast, its fun entertaining and informative about all things hiking. The only issue I have - and this is probably because I have been binge listening rather than listening occasionally - the host seems to love using the phrases 'I must admit' and 'go...Read full review »

I’ve been listening to Tim and Gill’s Australian Hiker podcast series since the beginning, and I love it. I especially like the range of walks they cover - this is not all about “extreme hiking”, but sensibly covers easy and accessible walks, together with more challenging multi-day walks. I really enjoy the book reviews/discussions with authors..I often then go to the library and borrow the book. And the interviews with gear makers, especially the Australian ones are very informative and help me make a decision on what to buy.
