Informative and personal
The podcast is a great mix of expert interviews and personal experiences, which I personally really love. I’m generally a fan of longer form and more free flow conversations like this. While some people may be looking for only one or the other and might not appreciate that, for me that’s one of the things that has made this podcast special and kept me coming back. It's worth noting that since the podcast deals with mental health, alternative medicine practices, and - to a degree - spirituality and mysticism, a lot of episodes can have triggering content for people and they should be prepared to manage that when listening. It’s unfortunate that because if the legal status and issues created by the drug war, there’s a socioeconomic barrier to US citizens experiencing and benefitting from these experiences first hand for people that might find it helpful, and I hope they address that more in the future, but also that’s sadly just the state of things right now and that is keenly discussed. I also appreciate the respect and acknowledgment given to the indigenous people and cultures that these practices come from. Overall, make up your own mind like anything else, but if this subject is something you’re curious about - this podcast is thoughtfully and artfully put together and I highly recommend.Read full review »

A believer in the beauty and value of plant medicines, but this podcast is as a bit heavy on the condescending attitudes around drug use and the pride of rich white privilege. Won’t bother listening to anymore.

Thank you for this podcast, I’m learning a lot and feel deeply validated and connected. I’ve never taken ayahuasca medicine but this is about so much more and shows the connections between all spiritual traditions.
