What were the best moments in the National Wrestling Alliance in 2020? What were the worst? In a year in which a worldwide pandemic managed to ruin just about everything, there were still some bright spots in the NWA. In our final episode of 2020, we try to separate the wheat from the chaff and look towards 2021.

The National Wrestling Alliance launches a new show, Shockwave, but how does it measure up to Powerrr? Also, the NWA loses another key member, and future production has halted again as Covid-19 ravages California. In the meantime, we mark out over an appearance of one of our favorite wrestlers on a recent episode of AEW Dynamite.

The NWA's light continues to fade away as more wrestlers announce departures from the organization. On the one-year anniversary of our show, we struggle to find anything worth talking about, but there's always Thunder Rosa -- and video games.

We take a look at recent episodes of Primetime Live, including a battle between Zicky Dice and Pope for the TV Championship. Meanwhile, more key NWA talent has left the organization, but president Billy Corgan tells fans to "hang in there," because Powerrr could be back soon.

There have been stirrings in the National Wrestling Alliance recently, so we shocked the podcast back to life for some surly palaver on a wide range of topics including: How AEW is looking more like the NWA these days; a new NWA pay-per-view option; Nick Aldis the soccer dad; the apotheosis of Thunder Rosa; who fled the NWA and who's left; custom wrestling matches, disgruntled Zoom meetings, and more.

The #SpeakingOut movement rocked professional wrestling last week, leading to serious allegations against many involved in the sport. One report aimed at NWA vice president Dave Lagana, has had a chilling effect on the organization. With Lagana out, the NWA has ceased production of new content, and it's unlikely we'll see any wrestling from them until 2021. This effectively ends the Back into the Fire podcast ... or does it? Joe and Andy try to make sense of it all.

Joe and Andy ponder the tough questions: Will Kamille end us all? Do wrestlers have a "safe word?" How did Marty Scurll make it sound like he was breaking Nick Aldis' fingers? Why would anyone want to wrestle New Jack? Did John Stossel try to ruin our childhood? How far can Marko Stunt be thrown by Lance Archer? Also, when will we see the NWA in action again?

We join the WWE Network to mine for classic NWA / Mid-Atlantic / WCW content that warped our childhood. The irony isn't lost on us! Also in this episode, we riff a bit on Wrestlemania 36, Starrcade, our favorite moment from Monday Nitro, and more.
