Interesting topic
As a person with medical knowledge, I found this series to be very interesting. I thought it was informative, but definitely helpful to have some medical knowledge to get the most out of what you’re listening to. I think stem cells have promise to treat diseases, but like any other treatment, they must be studied clinically in trial settings to determine benefits and potential risks. I know of a company that went so far as to fly a variety of people to Rome, to obtain a blessing from the Pope, in order to do stem cell research. I don’t know where this company is at in the research process, or if they are using stem cell treatments in their facilities, but that’s definitely an extreme. For those who think there are too many ads in the episodes, there is a way to skip ahead in 30 second intervals - like muting commercials on TV, I skip over the ads. Thanks for doing the research and getting the story out there about the snake oil side of stem cells. I appreciated the series and look forward to more content from Wondery and Laura.
