“I’m a historian of the 19th century myself and like most who specialise in the subject I always thought I wouldn’t touch the subject of the Whitechapel Murders with a barge pole. So huge kudos to Rubenfold for tackling this head on in such a measured, thoughtful and well-researched way. It not only casts light on Victorian misogyny and class bias, but on that that still pervades our culture today. The whole podcast is excellent and very thought provoking- thank you.”
