Thank You Rachael, this was so informative; as a 68 yr. old woman I remember this time of our History! Thank You for All You Do to Explain What is Going On in The Real News!

Unbelievable. Time and time again we are reminded that history can and could highly repeat it’s self.

....are doomed to repeat it. I remember this story but had no idea about the extent of Agnew's duplicity. George Bush's involvement surprised, and disappointed, me.

This is a cracker-jack story, and Rachel Maddow & team do a good job of setting it up. It includes fantastic interviews with some key players. So why not 5 stars? Bc Maddow obviously thinks her listeners are dumber than a box of rocks. Each point, and parallel to current politics, is hammered on...Read full review »

This amazing podcast just confirms what we all know; history will repeat itself as long as the nation refuses to study its past and learn from its mistakes.

I believe our country has been in trouble since 1993, we have gone through all kinds of mass murders , beatings , from the mafia, gangs all over the country including White House gangs that continue to bully our present president. He is the only one since 1993 that has taken action against people...Read full review »

Speechless, amazing, scary.... so pleased I took the time to listen to this entire piece of research. It sadden me to learn of all the corruption then and apply it to now. Hope and pray there is somewhere out there to help correct the present. EGOS are dangerous. Thank you!

Rachel brings this episode of history to life! I never learned this aspect of Agnew’s corruption in school. It’s particularly fascinating juxtaposed to today’s political environment. Rachel is serving the public good. THANK YOU!

I clearly recall watching all the Watergate hearings, yet we never knew the true story behind Agnew’s resignation. This was fascinating and yet another reminder of the terrifying acts that are happening behind closed government doors today. Thank you for your daily show (which we record and never...Read full review »

Great work by Rachael & staff. Interesting and fast moving. I was in high school when this was happening. A lot of great background.

Rachel and Mike, Wow, I really loved your podcast, Bag Man! Enthralling and yummy! I moved to Guam to be with my partner who was in the Navy in June of 1972 until December 1973. At the time, I was 17/18 years old and attending high school as a senior. I lived in a Guamanian village near...Read full review »

I subscribed to this podcast after it had been released in its entirety and had the luxury of listening to all of it at one time. I’ve now listened to it so much that, if it were a vinyl record, it would have worn out. It’s my go-to podcast.

I had been looking for a new podcast or two when I heard this podcast mentioned briefly in another podcast. Not really knowing anything about it, I downloaded the first episode and ended up finishing the entire series in a little over a day. It’s a fascinating story that was quickly overshadowed...Read full review »

I was in high school during watergate times and found this story truly fascinating. Of course, anything Rachel does is going to be first-class. The fact that Agnew was so crooked and hid both illegal and unethical activity (that was hidden to sight) is truly a story worth telling.

I’m not in the political scene but I am a fan of history. Human nature has not changed hence history will always repeat itself. What made this compelling was finally hearing about the people who were willing to make this part of history visible so that we can learn from it. Ignorance is not...Read full review »

Ms Maddow never disappoints with her nightly broadcasts. But I was blown away by bagman. I hope she will do something similar with Russian corruption. Excellent revelations about so many issues and details about the crisis during the Watergate era that we never knew. I’m glad I knew the ending before I listened or it would have been too scary.
