The BBBA podcast manages to marry two of my favorite things regarding this great game: advanced baseball stats and their application, and the memories of a youth and adolescence spent watching our larger than life bat and ball wielding heroes, collecting their baseball cards, and emulating them...Read full review »

Ok, you knows I’m lying. But if she was going to like a baseball podcast, this might be the one

Hope to see some more episodes soon! Love the stats and also the humor. The baseball talk from the 80s and 90s takes me back to childhood. Thanks for making the show!

What’s the chance you’re out to lunch? Did the ship set sale? Jump the shark? Come back!

A show with an analytic angle that doesn’t take itself too seriously. You don’t have to be a stat head to love this show. Mark and Andy do a great job of interacting with their audience, and “Roll the Stat” is a blast. Good work fellas.

Show request. 1990’s Greatest Unfulfilled Talent/Flameout/Crackhead Batting Stance. I nominate Phil Plantier vs Ben Grieve.

Thanks for the great show guys. I’m an Australian who had never really been a baseball fan, but watched some old YouTube games during COVID lockdown, bought ‘The Show’ on PlayStation and now loving watching the games (Oakland As fan) and listening to you guys with all the incredible stats which...Read full review »

Great podcast by two great dudes! It’s informative, entertaining, and interactive. The Mount Rushmore shows roped me in but have been binging on old episodes as well. If you are a baseball fan, young or old, give it a listen! You won’t regret it!

Just got into this podcast and I'm binging on all of the episodes. Can't get enough of it! Mark and Andy do a great job explaining how advanced stats are calculated and what they are/aren't good for. I espcially like the player comparisons. Lessons learned: don't bunt (unless...Read full review »

These guys make me lol continuously with their humor and knowledge of baseball. I enjoy their team position podcasts the best because of the random information they share. Keep up the good work guys! Go A’s

If you love baseball stats and baseball history this podcast is for you. The hosts are engaging, entertaining (and occasionally funny) and do a great job of explaining advanced stats in a straightforward manner. Themed episodes like rethinking MVPs from a decade or focusing on a particular...Read full review »

This podcast takes complex advanced statistics, breaks them down, and builds them back up in an understandable way. The hosts explain each statistic practically by giving benchmarks from recent years and throughout history. Their personality gives life to the show and makes it an enjoyable listen.

It's so refreshing to have a show that treats sports intelligently. The hosts have a sense of humor but they're not out there screaming and yeiling and making clowns of themselves; rather, they calmly but entertainingly present a somewhat diifcult subject matter in its most basic elements...Read full review »

If Gabe Kapler listened to podcasts I am sure this would be his favorite. Andy and Mark let their baseball stat nerd flags fly high in this celebration of advanced statistics and all things baseball.

I have grown to love podcasts but I’m a fan of baseball no I’m lost after the season ends and now this podcast gives me the chance to love baseball even more

You'd probably think a couple of middle school math teachers would make two of the worst podcast hosts--but you'd be wrong. They're just getting started (less than 10 episodes as I write this) but every week I learn something interesting and new, and I've been following baseball...Read full review »
