Late to the party but enjoying every episode!
I discovered this podcast, and it's sister podcast on the Battle of Verdun, recently and really find them to be excellent. The depth and range of sources is excellent, and, as funny as it may seem, the author's focus on accurate pronunciation has been an outstanding aspect of the podcast. Too often French names trip up other Podcasters (Dan Carlin, love you, but I'm talking to you). It is great to see Mike's attention to detail. I cannot wait to see Mike tackle the US battles in 1918.Read full review »

Mike provides a more comprehensible view by looking at the events through the eyes of individual soldiers. It is an extremely well researched and told account of World War I.

The author of this podcast shows his passion for the subject through his copious research and passionate delivery of the topic information.
