Interesting, Porfessional and Poignant
I was happily surprised to see Mike make a return. He is a genuine enthusiast for his topic and his sincerity and accessible approach make this a joy to listen to. I particulalry warm to his sense of drama and the sacrifice that was made 100 years ago, and the chaos and menace on and off the battlefield. I also appreciate his effort to give substance to some of the main players (both the lions and donkeys). It's always a delight to find a community of fellow history enthusiasts and Mike's endeavours are well worth the time he puts into his work. Keep up the great work, Mike!Read full review »

I really enjoy this series. Do yourself a favor and listen to the Battle of Verdun podcasts as well. I would like to know a little more about the weapons the armies used, but overall a strong and intresting effort. Many Thanks for the hard work Mike.
