Great conversations, great personalities.
There is an incredible amount of film/TV centric podcasts on iTunes, most of which are poorly recorded and poorly structured or hosted. Battleship Pretension is not like those, and is a great conversational podcast between two friends, often a guest, and offers up pointed, respectful conversation and discussion about films. They've always got an interesting topic to discuss that is discusses in great length and with great enthusiasm. Both the guys are affable and personal, the show is recorded incredibly well, practically a professional level, and while their individual tastes differ greatly, these boys are clearly friends and enjoy talking everything movies with each other. The only drawback I hear, which may be where the title comes from, is that their knowledge of obscure movies greatly outweighs their familiarity with staples of certain genres or mainstream, landmark-movies; but I'm sure they'll get to everything one of these days.Read full review »
