“I listened to one of there podcasts a few weeks ago and though it was extremely slow moving and boring, they did touch on a few interesting ideas. However, I just tried listening to their most recent podcast (5/16/10) and had to stop after about 10 minutes because the whole thing was them bragging about how awesome they are. Then even worse they started hating on Amelie Gillette, who is The Hater in The AV Club. Which to me seemed like their main reason for hating her was that she was much more successful and funnier when complaining about things. In reality, despite what these guys say, their style and attitude is somewhat similar to Amelie Gillette, just a lot sadder. These guys are the definition of pathetic. I would say don't waste your time listening.
PS I have to wish good luck to Amelie Gillette who just excepted a writing job on The Office, a job the guys from Battleship Pretension would kill for. Though I suspect on the podcast they would act cool and claim that TV writing is below them.”Read full review »
