BBC business as usual Most of the shows fail to address the topics they promote adequately. They offer brief introductions before delving into simplistic ethical discussions. Rather than delving into scientific explanations, the focus tends to lean heavily towards ethical considerations,...Read full review »

Gaya Vince interviewing scientists just about anything always suggests that ‘the cause’ is global warming, even though the interviewee is not jumping to that conclusion. So annoying, she should LOSTEN to answers not suggest them.

Please do more programs on multiple topics rather than just one! Incredibly engaging, thorough, thoughtful, and fascinating. Really appreciate the scientific coverage of the climate crisis and it’s many intersections with human life. Thank you so so much for your work!! You’re amazing.

I listen to episodes via podcasts. I like to ‘stockpile’ and listen to several episodes at a time. I shal have to stop using BBC Sounds.
Lolajacky via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 09/15/22
Oh to hear his voice again rather than the hysterical presenters now on! He also made all the items feel much more understandable.

I’ve been an avid fan of Inside Science for years but now receive out of date episodes. To attempt to dictate listener behaviour seems manipulative and an enormous home goal by the BBC. I’ll continue to subscribe (but delete each out of date episode) in case the BBC eventually see sense. But if...Read full review »

Really really good, keep up the good work!!! I love how you don’t toe around climate change and other crises, you tell the facts outright, no matter how hard they are to hear. It’s incredible the level of science reporting from the BBC vs. American radio. Love you guys!!!!

This programme is topical and I won’t be listening 28 days later - shame.

I have listened to this excellent show for years. Now that it’s “first on bbc sounds” I will be looking for other content. I don’t want another app to listen to podcasts
RichT via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 03/26/22
Sad to see they force us to use bbc sounds app instead of the podcast service. Making a topical science program appear in podcast form 28 days after it appears on bbc sounds? Utter rubbish. They are doing it for lots of other podcast feeds too. What about people using devices without that app?...Read full review »

The narrator made the comment “ since we know that global warming is caused by humans…. Nonsense.. fedora every theory that this is so, i can produce you 1 theory, peer reviewed by a university, that says this is not so. That the bulk of the problem is otherwise. How naive she is. I’m turned...Read full review »

Nobody cares about BBC Sounds, put this podcast back on podcast apps!
DisgruntledGoat via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 03/12/22
I really object to the new delay in releasing episodes to try to force people to use the inferior bbc app. I’ll wait and listen to out of date episodes instead :(
Another dum tee dum fan via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 03/04/22
It isn’t convenient for me and it makes no sense to put a topical science news show out at such a delay. Have unsubscribed - there are other science shows I can more easily get in the podcast store - such a shame!
Aldema18 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 03/04/22
A great podcast, that will no longer be useful for staying up to date as it is being delayed by 4 weeks. What a shame!
tigana17 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 03/04/22
Inside Science is pretty good of itself, I’ve been listening for a couple of years and dipped into the back catalogue as well. Just a pity that the BBC are no longer releasing it as a podcast until 30 days after it is broadcast and made available on the BBC Sounds app, a move made only to force...Read full review »

This is one of several podcasts which the BBC has pulled from public podcast feeds to force people into the BBC Sounds walled garden. We pay for BBC who are obligated to make their content available everywhere. In doing this they are breaking that promise.
Kotatsu Neko via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 03/04/22
Used to be a good podcast but is now delayed by 4 weeks so it can first go onto the BBCs own rather inadequate app (with consequent loss of privacy).
nmeth via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 03/04/22
To force you into using their app, the RSS feed is being delayed by 28 days!

This wonderful episode had me spell bound. Andrew Luck Baker produces podcasts that bring my home to a stand still as we listen to the stories and information unfold. We might as well rename this the COVID podcast now. It used to be wonderfully informative and great. Now I find myself cringing at the constant COVID talk. I am particularly disappointed when research not done in the wealthy western world is discussed. Please take time to take what is said on...Read full review »

What is this strange obsession? There are other issues out there, you know? Seriously. You are overdoing it. Covid is everywhere everyday. Just cut it out. Take a break.

These guys are great at it. I have to give them that. I thought listening to the news from another English-speaking country would provide keen insight but I was wrong. Is there no science happening in the world anymore ? I check every week, but no. Covid. Covid. Covid. Thanks for taking away something I enjoyed and replacing it with covid. Now I’m unsubscribing. Please rename this podcast to ‘covid weekly’ to save others from wasting their time too.

Adam is the main attraction for me. It’s a five star podcast with Adam. Two stars with Marnie.

Hello you. Great show. love the informality and lack of condescension. I tend not to enjoy the episodes that are more about politics & social issues, but understand that it’s all wholistic and others may want to hear them. Rutherford is great and deserves more recognition —which I’m sure...Read full review »
