“Marlene's stories are delightful. I'm a grandmother and I must admit I enjoy them as much as my grandchildren. I recently listened to the Princess and the Pea and I found myself laughing out loud. The princess turned out to be a winning personality rather than the beautiful rich spoiled princess. It turns out the princess is a genuine "cool" young girl. Marlene`s stories have an element of unpredictabiliy that is truly refreshing. The story also dealt with the changes that occurred through the centuries and points to the benefit of trading between nations. My opinion is that it might instill some interest in history in children besides just entertaining them. Marlene speaks in a pleasant voice and does not let her stories drag.
