so much potential
i want to love this show. robert is great and he does his homework. constant interjections from the producer with bad jokes and worse commentary makes it unlistenable at times, as well as the slew of intolerable guests. the jeff bezos episode in particular, the guest apparently has done an entire series on amazon but seems to know nothing at all about bezos or the company. see alex press’ show primer for some real journalism on the horrors of amazon. this was clearly a bit of cross promotion, and i think this show suffers from its association with i heart radio and their stable of terrible programming.

This is a really interesting subject I love the how stuff works network, and I really wanted to like this show. But then the host spends the entire show belittling and making fun of the dictators he’s researched in a way that seems totally out of historical context. Bummer.

Talk about a deep dive!!! Amazing stories and hilarious guests. I followed the Daily Zeitgeist Wormhole to get here and couldn’t be more thrilled.
