Fascinating podcast, produced brilliantly as only the BBC can do. All I can say is that I am pleased that the charity was investigated by those brave individuals and exposed for the disgusting fraud it was!

Jamie B does some amazing podcasts for the BEEB. A very sad story about a desperately sad young woman. It’s so disappointing to hear about people’s kindness and support for our amazing UK charity sector being abused but she and her mum are not the first and won’t be the last. Unsure why the...Read full review »

Good story but was frustrating to not know the full truth. I know it’s not that simple but man oh man.

Such an eye opening podcast, very well reported . Binge listened which I don’t normally do . There’s another podcast (American ) called Nobody Should Belive Me which also investigate the same issues. The mist frightening thing about all this us that this is way more common than any of us realise .

I find the subject fascinating in a morbid way but I am left wondering why they didn’t mention her father. Shouldn’t have contacted him to find out when and why he was estranged from Megan and ask if he had any suspicions. And if not explain why they didn’t.

Ploughed through this in a day (first day back at work has gone much faster than anticipated!)

Exquisitely reported. A "simple" idea unlocks such an extraordinary and quietly, roaring tale. Clinical and dignified; careful to keep a cool head where sensationalism could have been easy.Read full review »

The failure of this podcast is not to have asked this. A young girl does not die of a “fatty liver”. Obviously the question did he mother kill her is potentially libellous but it is also the OBVIOUS one. Were you warned off by the lawyers? BBC? Why was there no attempt to go behind the...Read full review »

I’m really fascinated with FII, and I found this documentary really interesting. I think everything was tastefully handled and the quality top notch. Definitely binge worthy.

Being familiair with the existence of the condition now known as FII, the developments in this story didn’t come as a complete surprise to me. But at the same time it never ceases to amaze me what people are capable of doing to themselves and others… This podcast tells the horrific story in a...Read full review »

I started listening to this podcast after seeing a recommendation for it on the r/Scamanda subreddit. The story took so many unexpected turns and I loved the relentless efforts of the journalists to uncover details about this obscure and confusing case. It was a satisfying listen with every new...Read full review »

I enjoy a scam-based true crime podcast, especially medical ones. This one is good. It doesn’t waste time or pad out episodes with unnecessary detail. The episodes are short and sharp. Very good.

An excellent and riveting podcast. It’s professionally presented without being sensationalist or long winded. It builds the fascinating but deeply troubling story. It’s also not full of ads. Well done

How come somebody can defraud the public by 100000 pounds, manslaughter your daughter and have no police lay charges?

I enjoyed this podcast mainly for the lack of dramatisation and hitting directly to what the audience wanted to hear. Clear, concise and engaging.

This was great from beginning to end. There were turns I was not expecting and jaw dropping moments. With the HIPPA laws, so many can fly under the radar and it is very scary.
