“I am a big fan of fantasy and science fiction, short stories, and variety. This excellent podcast satisfies them all! There is quite a range of subject matter and writing style, and all are engaging and entertaining, polished and concise. The lengths are just right for a commute, or, if you have insomnia like me, need something to listen to quietly at night. The intro gives you a short background on the author. The reading is done in a straightforward manner, so if you want “performance”, this may not be the podcast for you. Now for the “but…” The man and woman who do the majority of the readings, while clear and intelligible, are monotone and lifeless enough to detract from the stories. The guest speakers sound as if they are reading in a cave, with an annoying echo that gives it an amateurish note. Unfortunately, this keeps it from being 5 stars.”
