One of the best stories I’ve ever heard. Haunting and sad. I hear the song too but for me it’s the sea not the gems. It pulls me ever back towards its endless murmuring song.

Not sure why it took me so long to discover this treasure. Loving it thank you.

The stories in BCS range from good to great with most of them being closer to "great" on that scale.

Fresh stories, wide variety, varying length to fit your listening time. One of the best podcasts for fiction.

Lots of great stories here. If you're just checking it out, try #142 "Everything beneath you "

I am a big fan of fantasy and science fiction, short stories, and variety. This excellent podcast satisfies them all! There is quite a range of subject matter and writing style, and all are engaging and entertaining, polished and concise. The lengths are just right for a commute, or, if you have...Read full review »

I've subscribed to a lot of science fiction podcasts, but found the story quality inconsistent. Beneath Ceaseless Skies has become a regular in my commute listening rotation. The story quality is good to excellent, and production professional and the reading very good. I recommend this podcast...Read full review »

.... should stop. i listened to several stories. even up to the magically #42. unintentionally. i'm sure the stories are good; there's just no emotion behind them. please go to escapepod, or toasted cake, or scott sigler, or jc hutchins, or cast of wonders, podcastle, psuedopod... oh, and...Read full review »

If fantasy / fiction is your thing, look no further. A great variety of material and, while it's not all necessarily to my taste, I can listen to, and enjoy, every episode. A strong variety of material, outstanding narration week-on-week, this podcast is thoroughly appreciated and recommended.

I was Wonderfully transported to another reality. I would like to know more!

Narration is unlistenable. Love the intro, but I listen only as long as I need to so I know if there is guest narrator. Can't get past the monotone, lifeless reading. Pity, because the stories are very good. Would be a 5 star with a new narrator.

I just wish the horse "whinnied" sample in the intro wasn't so grating on the ear.

I really love the stories, but find their primary reader's voice monotone and grating. Otherwise, I really love this podcast!

The galloping-horse intro is too long!

These stories are old-fashioned fantasy; the kind I used to read when I was a kid. I like the hoast's undramatic tone that lets the reader add his or her own embellishments in their imagination. It is worth downloading all of the episodes so that the variety of stories can be fully apreciated. ...Read full review »

This has become one if my favorite podcasts, equal to podcastle, for alternate worlds and fantasy short stories. I eagerly every month await the next ones to appear as the stories and narration are always excellent. Strongly recommended.

Excellent fictional podcast-every story is fantastic, without the needless chattering or promos/ads littering your podcatcher! Highly recommend for all fans of fiction/short story form.

I love this podcast! Every story is great and that’s not common. I listen to other podcasts and the better ones have really good stories every now and then but, some how every story that Beneath Ceaseless Skies puts out is great! My only complaint is that I want more stories more often. Keep up...Read full review »

BCS is terrific. Nothing I write can say it better than a quick listen. Go ahead.

In my opinion this podcast and web magazine is one of the best out there for fantasy. It is definitely of the same quality as Escapepod and Podcastle, and deserves to be listened to with the same attention as these other great podcasts. All of the stories contain captivating second worlds, so if...Read full review »

I love short fiction podcasts because I can listen during my commute, which lets me fit a satisfying, full serving of storytelling into a busy schedule. I've sampled a lot of what's available, and after only four episodes, the Beneath Ceaseless Skies podcast now ranks at the top of my list. The...Read full review »
