“I love Friends, and I love the content the hosts talk about. However, there are some technical issues that I just cannot get over, some of which make the podcast almost un-listenable. First, the volume issues: the hosts' voices are completely different volumes, so when I turn it up loud enough to hear Jamie, the other hosts' voices blast me out of the water. Don't even get me started on when someone laughs - I'm surprised my eardrums are still intact. A little attention to setting sound levels and/or post-editing could solve this easily. Second, I'm not interested in listening to someone eat food, drop their phone, or continue talking while they have stepped away from the mic. Third, the "drunk" and "live watch" episodes are just awful for me. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I don't want to listen to strangers giggle and speak in fragmented trains of thought for an hour. Together, these issues make it seem more like a podcast some college student records on their iPhone rather than a podcast made by LA professionals. I'm 21 episodes in as of the release of episode 90, so hopefully some of these issues are fixed by now.”Read full review »
