Obligatory brain food
Radio 4's Today programme is the best place to find news in the UK. In fact, so fundamental is it to the fabric of society, that news not only breaks but HAPPENS on Today. The producers effortlessly weave the most serious current events and in depth political debate with mini features of the plight of the Bullfinch and the tooth fairy's contribution to the national economy. And then there's John Humphries - a national treasure - who is the most childish, intelligent, agressive interviewer you could ever wish for whose sole aim in life seems to be hunt down hypocrisy wherever it lurks. If he formed a political party, it would certainly have my vote. Today. Coffee. Toast. Oxygen. These things are essential to starting the day.Read full review »

Great business review and mostly great daily snippets. Would be great to be a tad longer (all round) or at least a bit more than a glimpse of the stories of the day. A hard balance to achieve but almost there. A great way to skim the day's current affairs and issues. Thumbs up!Read full review »

I really like the longer podcasts that provide a deeper and less shallow analysis than the short podcast and that is EXACTLY what the Today programme is all about !
