“The premise for this podcast is what drew me in, as I’d started my own “watch all best picture winners” a few years ago. I didn’t particularly warm to the hosts, who I found to have quite a high opinion of their own opinions. Even though I almost always agree with their takes, the holier-than-thou view of social issues was often grating. However I persisted as I like film history and wanted to finish the journey. But following the most recent episode and their joyful laughter after several crass and tasteless jokes about 9/11, I had to unsubscribe.”
