Loved the Gygax episodes. Great work!

I’m not a reader. I listen to audiobooks, and like to pick up the massive classics occasionally to feel like someone cares how smart I look. I do enjoy literature though and it’s fun to hear about the lives of authors and get acquainted with their writing. Good chemistry between hosts. It’s an...Read full review »

I discovered this show while looking for info on Shirley Jackson and Tyler and Hannah did not disappoint. I’ve just listened to the Robert Jordan episode, which, as someone who’s read all 14 WoT books, I found very enlightening. Looking forward to the Brandon Sanderson ep. Also Tyler sounds like...Read full review »

Making jokes about suicide is never in good taste. Sylvia Plath’s daughter is still alive, and even though I doubt she will, I hope she never hears the episode about her mother. Show some damn respect. (Speaking as someone whose parent also committed suicide.)

I read a lot of books but usually don’t know much about their author. I like hearing the backstories and the struggles of what we now know are world-class writers

Eh
I’ve mostly enjoyed listening to the show. However, hearing Matt give really weak and white reasons as to why he’d agreed not to say the N word in full was highly cringe and im questioning continuing.

They talk more about movies than the books, which I feel are most often better and deeper than a movie.

Solid research.. I like the hosts and enjoy their energy, they work well togther. A great conversation about authors, without trying to make it confrontational or overly opinionated. Thank you. Dave

I love books but almost as much.. I love writers backstories. And the playful banter, puns, and insights that both Tyler and Hannah dig up are awesome. Tolkien was one my fave episodes but I’ve learned about new authors and worlds to explore!

I always love to learn about the authors/creators behind my favorite works. Tyler and Hannah package the info in an entertaining and hilarious combo—Check them out! Luke Ink to Film

An insightful resource for those with literary interest. The hosts present and analyze literary works, spanning genre and style, with an open mind.

I think they both speak very well and I thoroughly enjoy Tyler’s tangents. All in all, never thought I’d like a podcast about authors and their books but here I am, one of my favorite podcasts.

Highly entertaining and informative podcast, and I most definitely recommend it. Hannah, the agnostic/atheist and Tyler, the committed (but by no means sanctimonious or preachy) Christian make a really great team and really spark off each other. They never fail to give a really original spin on...Read full review »

There are plenty of podcasts with similar subject matter, but this is by far the best of the lot. The hosts are engaging and actually do research to be able to correctly discuss different authors and their work. Even the length of the episodes are perfect. I’m so happy I stumbled across this...Read full review »

I listened only to the episode on M. R. James, the medieval scholar and author of ghost tales. After about 15-20 minutes of crude comments, and personal insults and invective, all directed toward James (1862-1936), a "very bad man," who apparently failed to live up to the...Read full review »

Really loving this podcast. I would have never thought to pick up a Neil Gaiman book before listening to this podcast. It’s a great place to learn about authors and their books and help you decide what to read next especially books you never thought of. It’s better than Good Reads in my opinion....Read full review »

I like this show. It's great! The hosts are enthusiastic, informative, and funny. This is like the bonus features on your DVD or Blu Ray, but for authors lives instead of the content they created. Personally I could do with less swearing, but it's not a deal breaker for me.Read full review »

Good podcast. 10/10, or i guess more accurately, 5 stars up, 5 thumbs up? 5 stars each with two thumbs pointing them up. So ten thumbs up, there we go.
