Loved Renee’s voice and delivery. I liked hearing the information about the victims and survivors.

Why do you put the killers name straight up in the show notes? Aren’t you interested in keeping a bit of suspense for the listeners sake?

As a criminologist and law graduate I am very fussy with the true crime I listen to, I love beyond contempt because it’s ethical, it’s not about unnecessary detail but about the full story it also focuses on the victim.

Great podcast! Not full of lots of fluff or ads. Well researched and great delivery. Lots of cases I’ve never heard before. Renee does a fantastic job!

These stories are very well researched, written, and executed. Great job, Renee!

The writing is okay, but poor phrasing and lack of inflection makes the presentation difficult to follow. She will seem to complete a sentence, then add another phrase. It’s odd. Once these aspects are corrected the podcast should be outstanding. Pharynx: Fair inks, not fair nicks! Lie vs lay!

I loved the opening statement on this episode—I listen to a lot of True Crime podcasts and few creators point out the real problem of crime and our blind spot on cases like this—male violence, males cause 85% of violent crime and 98% of sexual violence. When will address this issue as public...Read full review »

The voice is too soft and monotone. Makes me tune out and sometimes want to fall asleep. I can't seem to get into it.Read full review »

I love the calm voice and obviously well-researched information. It’s also very interesting to hear more of the local cases the Renee covers. Not being from the Midwest, I get to hear a lot of cases I never knew about. Keep up the great show!

There’s a lot of research put into every episode and somehow Renee keeps managing to pull off consistent quality week after week. I can’t imagine how much time she puts into each episode but it shows. Great show; definitely worth adding to your regular rotation!

I really tried to get through the fourth episode. The first three I think I slept through because the host voice just runs on and on. I just can’t do it it’s like she’s reading from a script or something.

Appreciate your research work and detailed reporting about this super sensitive topic that most people shy away from. Thank you for bringing the details to light without any drama. Either you somehow like this woman’s voice, or like me and many others, you find her extremely lacking. She seems to have the regional accent of the small town Midwesterner—Wisconsin perhaps. English wasn’t her forté in school either. I couldn’t get through one episode. I’m sure she means well,...Read full review »

This is a true crime podcast. GTF OFF OF THE RIGHT-TO-LIFE-ADDS! I hope you know your target demographic is the opposite of a group you should have as the recipients of an add that divisive. NOT EXCUSABLE FOR ANY REASON!!!!!

The positive ,( take notes future podcast hosts ) ; great sound quality ! Clearly Renee invested in a good microphone and recording system . This is Key. Excellent calming voice and dictation. No co-host to engage in so called “witty banter” . Renee gets straight to the point . I don’t have to...Read full review »

You have a lovely voice to listen too and I enjoy the way you time-map the case. I have fallen asleep to your podcast a few times, probably not the best content to fall asleep too 😆But your voice is one of the beat I’ve heard in a long time. Thank you!😊

Renee is so thorough and professional. She finds cases I’ve never heard about, which is surprising because they are all interesting cases.

Really well done! From the soft voice to the fluidity of her storytelling, it makes for a really great bedtime listen..except I can’t fall asleep because I just want to keep listening. Keep up the hard work, it really shows.

At some points it sounds like the narrator is bored and sleepy. The commercials have more energy than the stories. Could be way better… but it’s okay if you want to listen to it while trying to fall asleep
1938mell via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 07/20/22
Very easy to listen to, well researched and extremely, interesting, and little known cases. Listen to when falling asleep but have, admittedly, have to relisten in the morning, because so soothing. Thanks, love your interesting stories

The info in these podcasts is interesting but the narrator has the most-awful voice I’ve heard in a long time. She is monotonous with no expression at all. She is very sleep-inducing.

I really enjoyed binging this podcast but I noticed that the episodes got really short so that’s a little disappointing. Please make longer episodes!

The episodes are compact. The narrator focuses on the cases (as opposed to personal commentary, or tangential information). The narrator speaks clearly, and at a good pace.

I really like this podcast, however some of the stories are difficult to follow the story line. The one about Marc Evonitz kept jumping around in the timeline. This podcast is pretty good. But for the love of all things holy, PLEASE pronounce the “ing” at the end of your words.
