On January 26th, 2020, NBA legend Kobe Bryant was killed in a helicopter crash along with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, John, Keri, and Alyssa Altobelli, Christina Mauser, Sarah and Payton Chester, and pilot Ara Zobayan. As Southern California natives and huge Laker fans, Episode 1 guest Chris Graves and I talk about how we first heard the news, wrestle with why the tragedy has affected us so profoundly, and share our favorite (and most disappointing) Kobe moments.
