Always fascinating, with a broad range of topics, engaging guests, and polished, consistent, no-frills production. Art and Marty ask the right questions and keep a perfect pace so that I can keep up but not have my mind wander.

I have listened to several episodes and really enjoy the podcast. However, the sound on your guests are often quite poor and difficult to hear. Would be even better if sound quality could be a bit improved :)

Wow
The crispr episode was so fascinating. I love the fact that the hosts don’t « dumb down » the topic at hand and address it like they would with their colleagues. As a biochemistry undergrad, this is totally feeding all the in-dept info i have been missing from my classes about dna editing as well...Read full review »

This is not a slick professional podcast - it’s biologists talking to biologists about their field of research. I find it both interesting and comforting.

Great podcast. I got hooked on the multiple origin of life episodes - they were excellent! Also plenty of great developmental biology content. They bring in excellent guest researchers. Also, I do love Art and Marty’s curiosity and genuineness.

I never went to college, I never took a biology class, I just look stuff up online and watch a ton of documentaries. I get almost all of what they are talking about. I overlooked this podcast for a long time because I thought I wouldn’t understand it. I am so glad I tried it out.

Each podcast is scientific enough to teach me things and basic enough that I can understand the minute details of concepts they discuss. They keep the podcast to the point, but it always feels natural and like the guests are comfortable. Their excitement for biology is easy to hear and makes the...Read full review »

One of the things I like best about listening to the scientist interviews is the last question inviting the scientist to talk about any subject that was missed or add any point that they want to make. The science is engaging, often fascinating, and I look forward to the next episode.

Well-informed, interesting, and entertaining conversations from engaging hosts and guests about important and upcoming topics in biology that are as relevant now as they ever have or will be. A great way to incorporate biology into your everyday life.
