“I find it extremely concerning and lazy when people get on here and say “some of these reviews are crazy” because people who listen to women who postition themselves as leftist feminist have chosen to stay silent on genocide. Even if I could look past that (which I can’t) to then also read a Sarah j Mass book, a woman who used the death of Breonna Taylor to market her fairy porn book is wild. Where do you draw the line. No subject they discuss is discussed with any sort of reverence or respect. If everything is a joke nothing is?
This is marketed as a society and culture podcast in which they’ve gained a following by being leftist who discussed topics in a way that way that was meaningful and informative, yes they’re going to be expected to do the job that they sold to us??
But of course people will chalk the one star reviews down to us being “haters” or we need to “log off” it couldn’t possibly be that your fave creators have missed the mark? It couldn’t possibly be that we are fans of the show who genuinely expected more? But of course the girlies who love books that deal with the injustices in a make believe world couldn’t possibly try to empathize with the injustices in the real world we live in. Enjoy your whitewashed fairytale escapism while the rest of the world such as marginalized folks can’t afford to ignore the issues at hand. It’s weird and honestly a slap in the face.”
