Spotting the birds in the neighborhood
The host Dr Ed Pullen has a calming voice that is akin to the tone you when if you're birdwatching and you see a rare bird. I never consciously was “bird watching” before this podcast and now I have grown familiar to the scrub jays, the mocking birds, and woodpeckers in my area—on occasion identifying herons! Bird Banter has a consistent upload schedule and gives a peak into Ed’s life that among other things sparks an interest to the details of nature, more specifically the birds that we would otherwise miss if we didn’t stop to look around.Read full review »

Ed’s interview style is very relaxed, and his podcast feels very conversational as a result. His content is most appropriate for birdwatchers, but his guests are entertaining enough to hold the attention of most general nature enthusiasts.
