Description
Leading Off The Orioles went well beyond a little Yankee Spanky this week, and brought out the shanks. After taking a tough series from the Phils, the Orioles followed up by taking a series from the Yankees – in the Bronx – to draw within a half game of first place. Not enough drama for you? Well, some of the Yankees had big feelings, too. Drink of the Week Join us for the Drink of the Week, and let us know how you’re consoling yourself as you watch the O’s. And it was a really bad look for them. In a three game series, the Orioles won on the field and off the field. Second Base: Thriving, not surviving The Orioles had a really difficult June ahead of them. With few off days on the schedule, and some really good teams, things could have gotten ugly. And they were ugly: for everyone else. The Orioles’ worst outcome was a split of a four game series with Toronto. The Orioles had to take on the Phillies and the Yankees in back-to-back series. And leaving that stretch at 4-2 is not simply surviving those games. The Orioles are thriving.
