“3/5 stars
I’m ~10 episodes in and I have mixed feelings
-really wish it wasn’t hyped as being “so scary,” it’s not Stephen King or anything
-disclaimer, these folks are infinitely more talented than I am, in no way do I claim that I would do better…but it is kind of frustrating to hear DM Walters lay out this great setting and hear the players promptly forget what is happening, i.e. Walters clearly describing the heights and distances of walls multiple times (very high and very far apart) and the players acting like they are right next to each other
-there are moments of great chemistry, but as much or more facepalm moments
The bottom line is, 10 episodes in, it feels like there is potential that is not being realized…either the players are not fully “in” (which is understandable I mean this is a game after all and everyone is busy), or they do not have great chemistry, or they seem to just not be able to read the room”
