But…it’s the constant “sadness, awwwsss, and poor so and so, and not so and so” and the constant RIPs that ruin it for me. I’m not saying that it isn’t genuine but it’s annoying and we get the point. Saying it once is surly enough.

I was always scared of anything true crime (especially the documentaries/docu-series) but it’s just something about this podcast and both of your enthusiasm, charisma, and approach to it that made me super interested in true-crime! My newfound favorite podcast ❤️

The hosts are hilarious. I know a lot of people think true crime should be serious, but I think their light heartedness makes you feel like you’re talking to your friends. When I heard they loved Wine and Crime I knew even more that I loved them! I love the episodes with their mom, you can...Read full review »

Honestly, I like this show better than any of your competitors. You sister have a very good way of delivering the content . I like your vibe and the way y’all bounce ideas off of each other. Other podcast show I’m not gonna name them, but they talk too much about things they don’t have nothing...Read full review »

I listen to podcasts at work and mostly just true crime. At first I didn’t like the chuckles & jokes but it helps give a little lightness to these heavy realities. These stories need to be told and may even help someone. Also I appreciate you ladies for not sharing so many unsolved cases. Yes...Read full review »

I love this podcast! It’s like I’m talking cases with my homegirls! A lil murder case review/research is my hobby and this gives me the details in the most entertaining way! One thing about us black folk, we will give the real, crazy a jokey joke and be thorough! Keep the episodes coming ladies!

I really do love this podcast and I hate that the reviews don’t showcase how good this podcast is. Mainly because as black folk one thing we gonna do is make a joke about something we shouldn’t be joking about but that’s the beauty in us as a culture and some people just won’t understand it.

I work from home and I play my podcasts all day, I’ve listened to MANY and I where I like my few- this is my favorite. You two remind me so much or me & my sister, we’re 12 months apart. I’m an avid crime podcast gal. I’ve never listened to a podcast that has the hosts joking & sometimes even alluding to blaming the victims. I mean listen to the outro of the show… It’s just very cringe & borderline offensive that they’ve turned people’s murders into some laughable,...Read full review »

I really want to like the podcast more because I love supporting fellow black women. But the hosts seem to be too harsh on the victims. The Nova Henry episode was hard to listen to. I love this show!!! I see a bunch of reviews about laughing and side convo.. to me it makes the show unique and light hearted, while still being respectful. If you want a super serious atmosphere, watch a documentary. Keep doing y’all thing

Ugh
Too much side, talking and too much concentration on Black people. I don’t understand why it Has to be black offenders, or black victims. Why not all people regardless of color?

It’s off subject so much I forget the actual story it like listening to two teenagers talking laughing and cursing

The content is good, but the sarcasm and joking nature of the hosts makes this cringy and difficult to listen to. The lighthearted approach seems to take away from the seriousness of the cases.

love the show. it’s great that cases involving people of color are getting the exposure they deserve. i just wish the hosts wouldn’t spoil the story through their commentary!

I love this show! I’m obsessed with true crime, so pretty much every podcast I listen to is just that! but this one is literally in my top 3! I love the sisterly bond bc you two tell stories perfectly together! I started listening earlier this summer so I have so many episodes to listen to yay😊

I’m a true crime junkie, but the constant sarcasm and joking is not cool. Imagine the victims family members listening to the constant jokery about their loved one being murdered. Also, don’t be naive like this stuff can’t happen to you. Not a fan.
Yelhah via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 12/04/23
This podcast is great. They’re so good at covering cases and they’re respectful of the victims while also having funny commentary. I was dying at “Marvin lister who looks like a blister” in the Joyce Vincent one.
