The White Rabbit and the Peacock
Hey Griff, sweet boy, you’re perfect in every way. You're a magical little woodland elf and I want to put you in my pocket and carry you around forever and ever. Don’t ever change. DAVID SIMS, DO YOU HAVE SOMEWHERE TO BE!? Are you the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland? Always late, always behind schedule. Always conscious of time: THE ENEMY OF COMEDY! Normally, I would admire someone with such reverence for structure and time—someone who keeps everyone on schedule and on message. BUT NOT IN THIS CASE. Your constant exasperation at Griffin’s folly and whim is the epitome of irksomeness. It’s a podcast, my boy, there is no limit, but what we make. You are not the lead-in to Sanford and Son. I sense you think that this is your place within the construct of the show—to be the curmudgeon; the stick-in-the-mud to Griffin’s wackiness. I get the sense that you feel this is your rapport. That way lies madness—for your listeners! I want to throw on a podcast to relax, but it’s quite stressful to hear someone who always sounds as if he has somewhere to be and is trying simply to move the proceedings along. I know this humble plea is unlikely to change your ways, but do consider it. For Griffin is a very special peacock and you must let him fly. P.S. Producer Ben? Is it hard being a dead ringer for the worst member of The Beach Boys, and quite possibly the worst man in the history of music?Read full review »

What I like about this show is the characters. They’re all funny and great in different ways. You can tell David is used to hanging around a more professional office environment - he has more of a filter than Griffin, who is around comedians and actors all the time so he’s a loose-goosey,...Read full review »

This was good, but it has become weirdly preachy since moving away from Star Wars and especially with the latest episode on terminator
