No Bits
Before listening to this podcast I had always chalked up the Phantom Menace trilogy as a fun but dumb action franchise that I ultimately enjoyed, but after hours of listening to this podcast I have learned to hate them. Any other take on this trilogy seems to be very mean spirited or nitpicky in a way that immediately turns me off, but Griffin and David come at it from an angle of true bewilderment and disappointment that allows me a way in that I never had before. It was also immensely satisfying to hear them talk about an edit of Attack of the Clones I made for them more than once, which may be a quality of dearth of content to talk about or my own skills, I prefer to choose the latter. Other than of the Star Wars side of things, they also delve into the film The Judge, in what is probably my favorite episode of the show, outside of the time Griffin revealed his possibly, no probably, racist childhood schoolwork. And, no bits, I hate the "no bits" bit, but at this point I might also love it.Read full review »
