I love this. Endlessly entertaining & has helped discover new stuff, rediscover old stuff & have a rethink on some stuff. Let’s have more. Please.

Only just found this podcast and has to be one of the best I’ve ever listened to. The balance between new music and old conversation and anecdotes is amazing. I’m not in awe of many people but Colin Murray is one of those people. He has the ability to make everyone feel welcome to the...Read full review »

I don't normally use iTunes, I have other apps for listening to podcasts, so I came here purely so I could review this one because I love it. Of the 50+ podcasts I listen to regularly this has rapidly become my favourite. The central idea of getting a bunch of people together who might not...Read full review »

I love this. Please bring it back. I’ve discovered so much new music from the choices of the guests. It’s funny, Informative and entertaining and there’s good natured banter between the guests but it’s never mean. Some of the stories they tell are brilliant. I’ve relistened through lock down and...Read full review »

Colin Murray masterfully brings together a group of strangers together for each episode and unifies them through their love and appreciation of each other’s musical choices. Everyone’s musical taste is individual but when you hear the stories and reasons for the guests’ choices you further...Read full review »

This podcast has me smiling, laughing, singing and arguing. I love the format. The guests always bring something interesting and it has me searching my own inner record collection for my personal answers. Ultimately I end up thinking “I need to set up a dinner party based around this”. Love it.

Poor quality sound and why all the swearing, Colin and his guests are so witty and clever, they do not need the F all of the time. Spoilt the show, the bits that were audible that is

Reminds me of some great music I’d forgotten and opening my mind to loads of new tracks. Downloading them all!

I’m a long term fan and will continue to be so, but the sound quality of the recent live show was so bad I had to turn off. Colin’s mic in particular was terrible, and the overall mix was all over the place. Come BBC, you can do better than this.

had to unsubscribe, series 1 was great with a 'bit' of swearing, series 2 was worse and the live show i couldn't listen. i don't want to be classed a prude but this was too far for me. listen to most things colin has done and the 'shut up' he shouts on 1 of his other...Read full review »

The format of this show is simple. Get a group of different people and get them to discuss their personal taste in music and their record collection. The live show at Hammersmith 2 parter is quality. Ideal listening this Christmas Eve

Being a regular listener to Colin’s other pods (Fighting Talk & At Home), I immediately subscribed to this series too. Unfortunately, none of the early episodes seem to download. UHG!! Here’s hoping the problem gets resolved, as I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the two I could listen to. Great...Read full review »

Well after hearing Colin’s non stop plugs for this on FT and elsewhere I took the plunge and downloaded it . So glad I did ! Some of the music I hate and some I love ! But it’s a great show . Working my way from episode 1

A great listen ‘on the tracks’ for my daily rail commute. Introducing me to new and different artistes as well as hearing some reaffirming ‘greats’! Interesting debate at times too, Rolf Harris not acceptable, but Michael Jackson certainly seems to be... Colin Murray’s slick, but relaxed style...Read full review »

Fantastic idea and brilliantly hosted by Colin Murray. Oddly mismatched guests always seem to find common ground, and as a listener I almost always discover something new or rediscover something I had forgotten about. Compelling listening. However, struggling to finish listening to the Feltz/Widdicombe edition because they seem to think shouting is good radio - spoiled an otherwise great series.

I love blood on the track for the way the guest interact with each other over their shared love of music. Excellently presented by the master that is Colin.

I have really enjoyed all the episodes of this podcast. Colin Murray is a brilliant host with a great knowledge of music. Scott Mills is definitely my favourite guest as I liked how he was not too pretentious and would choose cheesy records.

This is consistently fantastic! Weirdly it’s most often not about the music but the stories behind them. That said the choices are great, and I’ve learned about a lot of music that has passed me by until now. I seriously find it hard waiting for the next episode to become available.
