Immerse yourself in Ulysses!
It’s hard to imagine a more detailed or a more loving exposition of Ulysses. Line by line, paragraph by paragraph, Kelly and Dermot work their way through this magnificent novel, filling in the background and teasing out the nuances. Lots of sidebars, like how to support Sweny’s, where Bloom bought his lemon soap, so that venerable institution can stay in business. Ever wondered what a croppy boy was, or where Mr Deasy is from? It’s all here. This is a show BY fans FOR fans. I’ve read Ulysses several times, and every episode of the podcast teaches me something new about it.
