Long have I realized the utter villainy of the American government, but being in my early twenties in 2003 I never paid much attention to things beyond my own life, and so I was unaware of all the terrible facts surrounding the Iraq war. But having listened to only 3 episodes of Season 1, I’m in...Read full review »

Important work of journalism and political history. Well researched and presented.

As much as I loved season 1, season 2 was even better! We’ll researched and presented. I cannot wait to see what you do next!

I am not so blind to believe the US gov is capable of lying and while I enjoyed season 2 and love hearing different perspectives and being forced to ask questions about what I was told about history in school, news, etc… I found it a continued annoyance that the hosts questioned everything the...Read full review »

I am loving the content of this show but I am super annoyed by the bad sound decisions they made for this second season. The interviewee’s voices are distorted beyond comprehension and the music lingers behind the narration in a way that is really distracting. I just want to listen to your...Read full review »

Loved the show until S1B5, that’s guest is so disconnected from reality it’s scary.

This podcast tops even most formal documentaries I’ve seen on the topics covered in the first two seasons. The two hosts have really done their homework, and warmongers and ideologues are left with nothing meaningful to say after this show’s examination of the facts in hindsight.

Amazing podcast series that really sheds light on things that were happening and still are that many of us are not aware of. Please do a series on Afghanistan

This is a truly excellent podcast. Cleanly executed without being overproduced. It has a deceptively casual “amateur historian” tone. They deliver an immense amount well-sourced information with energy and humor. I am consistently amazed at how they consistently manage to make stories that are...Read full review »

(Now on season 2) This is the best podcast. It is so entertaining and well made. As an American if you can listen to this podcast and keep the faith that this country has anyone's best interests at heart then you weren't listening well enough. This story is almost too absurd to be...Read full review »

Forceful and entertaining journalism.

First thing, this podcast gets in its own way with the overproduction. Constant random sound effects that don’t even keep the sound levels similar, means getting blasted with random loud noise for no real additive to the podcast. Spamming soundbites and memes give it the sound-equivalent of one...Read full review »

This podcast repeatsAll of the antiwar arguments from before the invasion of Iraq in 2003 without offering any deeper understanding of the options policymakers were actually facing. It is biased, unsympathetic, and unrealistic. It offers listeners are view of the world where American...Read full review »

Season 1 is a masterpiece but get ready for when Season 2 comes out. I’ve been listening to it on Stitcher Premium and it. is. FIRE!

Disappointingly scant on real detail, but full of the hosts’ weird grudges against the journalists their daddies liked reading. Feels amateurish in production and content.

Nah
You lost me after the first 15 minutes of disingenuous argumentation — borderline anti-intellectual.

This is one of the best podcasts I have ever listened to - informative, funny, interesting, and entertaining. If you think you know what happened in the lead up to the Iraq War, think again. I was both riveted and shocked. Thank you for this excellent series - looking forward to additional...Read full review »

Generally okay, but very clearly biased to promote a particular worldview and misperception of the intricacies of the Iraq War. The podcast is so much better than I could have imagined and (sadly) the Iraq war was so much worse. If you’re a history fan or a You’re Wrong About fan, give this a shot. This may be the podcast that finally makes me subscribe to Stitcher, and many many have tried.

This is an incredible podcast really needs to be heard by a much larger audience. As an American, this made me sad, desperate and self reflect for the responsibility that I have as an American with the power of my vote. We need to make sure this never happens again. Let’s start by stopping all weapons sales.

Incredibly informative and funny look back at the collective insanity in the US leading up to, and during the Iraq war during the Bush era. Lots of lessons to be learned about how villains and war criminals of every stripe can be rehabilitated back into police society.

Valuable to hear a version of this story told from the perspective of people who talk like me and are roughly my age. Feels less like a history lesson and more like indulging knowledgeable friends in a subject they’re passionate about. Binged it.
