Learning has never been this cool. I gain so much insight from each episode. I have listened multiple times with my partner.

Historically accurate, incredibly informed and funny in the right moments. I binged the whole Iraq series and now am onto the Cuba series, so far I am equally impressed by both. Bravo!!

You would think Fidel Castro was Jesus Christ listening to these two. Very enjoyable but have to take everything they say with grain of salt since they leave out anything that doesn’t line up with their narrative. Still liked it

Having lived thru the Iraq war and followed the news closely at the time, I can vouch for the accuracy and thoroughness of Blowback’s account & I learned a lot of new stuff. They bring that same high quality analysis & rescue from the memory hole to the other stories they cover. Really...Read full review »

I always enjoy listening to history podcasts that present themselves in an unorthodox way or from an uncovered perspective. But taking an alternate perspective allows for more critical analysis, not less. This podcast’s uncritical acceptance of Soviet actions and Kennedy conspiracies when it fits...Read full review »

This show should be mandatory listening for high school history students. The production is great, and the research and detail provided rival that of some of the nations most prominent newspapers and magazines. Overall, this is probably my favorite podcast. Definitely worth a listen.

Great in-depth look into history with a focus on uncovering the truth.

Both seasons are very enlightening and show the extremely evil imperialism of the United States and the Capitalist oligarchs who own the US government. Outstanding work by outstanding people.

The show will baby-step you to a healthy skepticism, aimed at the bad actors that are often given a pass for the damage they have done. *2 of 30 in my platoon share this sentiment. 10 would call me a Commie, and 18 wouldn’t care due to the nihilism caused by an illegal war.

I’m so appreciative of this podcast, specifically season 2. It was enlightening and informative. Realizing the limited knowledge I had on Cuba/US relations was heavily influenced by the ultra conservative influences in my life was eye opening. I only wish I had learned this sooner. Thank you!

This is an essential show to understand the history of America’s role in the world. It’s also funny and well produced.

I’ve listened to both seasons twice now, and each listen I come away with more to appreciate! The subjects are fascinating, the reporting is insanely in-depth, and I love the inclusion of news coverage/radio clips. Hosts have a very satisfying cadence and manage to interject some humor into some...Read full review »

Such a smart and interesting podcast! Adds so much color to the current narrative about the Iraq War, including the many factors that led to the war and the way it has shaped our present day political reality.

Absolutely outstanding podcast. Thoroughly researched, thoughtfully presented, and never not interesting. Simply the best history podcast available.

Long have I realized the utter villainy of the American government, but being in my early twenties in 2003 I never paid much attention to things beyond my own life, and so I was unaware of all the terrible facts surrounding the Iraq war. But having listened to only 3 episodes of Season 1, I’m in...Read full review »

I am loving the content of this show but I am super annoyed by the bad sound decisions they made for this second season. Loved the show until S1B5, that’s guest is so disconnected from reality it’s scary.
Dont use cashapp! via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 08/23/21
This podcast tops even most formal documentaries I’ve seen on the topics covered in the first two seasons. The two hosts have really done their homework, and warmongers and ideologues are left with nothing meaningful to say after this show’s examination of the facts in hindsight.

Amazing podcast series that really sheds light on things that were happening and still are that many of us are not aware of. Please do a series on Afghanistan

This is a truly excellent podcast. Cleanly executed without being overproduced. It has a deceptively casual “amateur historian” tone. (Now on season 2) This is the best podcast. It is so entertaining and well made. As an American if you can listen to this podcast and keep the faith that this country has anyone's best interests at heart then you weren't listening well enough. Forceful and entertaining journalism.

First thing, this podcast gets in its own way with the overproduction. Constant random sound effects that don’t even keep the sound levels similar, means getting blasted with random loud noise for no real additive to the podcast. Spamming soundbites and memes give it the sound-equivalent of one...Read full review »

Disappointingly scant on real detail, but full of the hosts’ weird grudges against the journalists their daddies liked reading. Feels amateurish in production and content.
