Biased, Uniformed, and Oddly Worth a Listen
This podcast repeatsAll of the antiwar arguments from before the invasion of Iraq in 2003 without offering any deeper understanding of the options policymakers were actually facing. It is biased, unsympathetic, and unrealistic. It offers listeners are view of the world where American policymakers are both always in control of every event, able to artfully control vast numbers of foreign governments, and Array of intelligence agencies from scores of foreign nations, hundreds of multi national corporations, and yet incompetent at planning for the War and its aftermath. It is a version that dehumanizes all the American actors. They are nothing but Dr. Evil and his bumbling henchmen. But it is an entertaining romp through the period. But don’t depend on it for facts or fairness.

‘Required listening.’ You hear that a lot about good stuff. It absolutely applies to this pod. Thank you, Blowback peeps.

A good overview of the war, with useful left-leaning commentary on the lasting effects of the quagmire. The production is a little bro heavy with all the pop culture referencing, but if you have the stomach for that sort of thing, I do recommend a listen.
