My New Favourite Podcast - few things can make me smile on a long run, this is one of them. And you don’t need to be a fell runner (or even a runner) to appreciate it.

I listen to a lot of podcasts, but very few about running, despite being a diehard runner. But this podcast is the exception. It’s production value is first class. It’s enjoyable, entertaining and informative - what every good podcast should be. The documentary/personal journal presenting style...Read full review »

Firstly, well done!! Secondly, that was one hell of a podcast ‘course’ you went on 😜. Thirdly, a fabulous insight into every aspect of the BGR. Thank you for sharing, it was a joy to listen and get motivation to get training and stay level headed when the niggles hit. Brilliant.

A fascinating insight into the planning, training, tribulations and considerations for the BGR, England’s most epic trail run. Great contributions from authors of the most highly regarded running books of most recent years. Highly interesting commentary on the bio-mechanics of running from Helen...Read full review »

I read “Feet in the Clouds” earlier this year so was intrigued by this podcast series. As much about friendship and life as the BGR this was a gripping and ultimately moving listen. Was sad to reach the end. Thoroughly recommended even if you have no intention of attempting it yourself!

Heartwarming, hilarious at times and refreshingly down to earth in a very English way (a nice change as so many running podcasts are American and focus on American races/trails/runners etc). Bob’s friendship and banter with his running pals is instantly likeable and easy to associate with -...Read full review »

I love the Lakes and running, so this is right up my street, but this podcast is more about friendships, getting older, setting ourselves challenges. A gentle and joyful story of a ramshackle group of friends ... lovely.

Just want to say thanks for making this podcast. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it and it’s been great motivation through the winter. Clearly a labour of love and the amount of time and effort that’s gone into it is clear. Brilliant interviews too. Felt a bit emotional listening to the grand finale!...Read full review »

There are lots of interviews with inspirational runners and some cyclists who share their experiences in achieving success in endurance events. Lots of pearls of wisdom and advice for anyone who is considering an endurance event. These interviews are interspersed in Bob’s diary of events as he...Read full review »

I love this podcast. Decided to take a break from the Desert Island Discs archive and am now strangely hooked. Your host Bob tells the tale of how - as a middle aged man with a knackered Achilles- he sets himself the challenge of doing something extraordinary- the legendary BGR run. I am not...Read full review »

The first episode is bit like a Pilot of a show. It took me a while to warm to it, I know one of the guys in it, (Michael Kennedy), who also lives in my village Burley-in-Wharfedale, and he told me about it, but found the first episode a little rambling. However it introduces the characters and...Read full review »

I’ve looked forward to jumping in the car to and from work each day so I can take my mind of the commute and focus instead on episodes of a transparent and authentic journey of an attempt of what sounds like a brutal and truly testing endurance project. I’m no runner but this podcast is massively...Read full review »

I’ve supported a Leg 3 ACW and read a lot of the lore of the Bob. I have my own ambitions to try it one day. I did the Dragon’s Back and a lot of other fell races this year to understand the ‘Way of the Bob’. My credentials established this podcast puts a human and humorous perspective on this...Read full review »
