I'm an Indian and I grew up watching Bollywood movies. I casually bumped into your podcast and enjoyed listening to episode 9. I'm amazed by the enthusiasm shown by Matt and Erin to learn more about Bollywood.
I just wanted to point out a few factual errors in episode 9 that I wanted to correct. Here they are:
1. The language spoken at the beginning of Chennai Express is Tamil and not Malayalam. This was probably a slip of the tongue by Juliet.
2. The meaning of "Dilli Wali" is "a girl from Delhi" and does not mean the same as "Dilwale". Delhi is spelled as Dilli as that's how it's pronounced in Hindi. Wala (masculine gender), Wali (feminine gender) and Wale (plural form) means a particular type of person or a group of people. So a girl from Delhi (Wali in Dilli Wali) and big hearted people (Wale in Diwale). Still quite impressive that Matt was trying to connect the dots between the two.
I'm definitely going to check out future episodes and it's fun to hear you guys try your best to pronounce Hindi names and movie/song titles :D
