Could be the perfect book-ish podcast
Jeff and Rebecca are good hosts for this interesting weekly podcast. It covers all news related to books and reading. They listen to feedback and make efforts to keep the show vibrant, entertaining and interesting. My only problem with the show is that both Jeff and Rebecca can, on occasion, come across as a bit 'holier than though' and preachy, particularly when they are discussing subjects close to their hearts. I get that they are passionate about what they read, but at the same time alienating your listeners by making them feel like you disapprove of them and their reading habits doesn't make for an enjoyable listen. I tend to fast forward these sections though (you'll soon get to know the subjects that set them off) and get on with enjoying the rest of the programme. Would I recommend the podcast? Yes. It's just a shame that I can't recommend it as an 'indispensable' listen.Read full review »

I get a thrill every time I see a new episode is available. Love the book talk. And having a novel coming out next year, I'm learning so much about the publishing world. Thank you!Read full review »

Rebecca and Jeff have great chemistry, and they are often having conversations that I wish I could raise my hand and contribute to. Can we get this to be a live show a la Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me?Read full review »

I’m really enjoying this for a bunch of reasons - the book recommendations, all the news about what’s going on in books, the hosts, etc. Highly recommend for anyone who loves books but wants the most...Read full review »
