Alexei the Great
I first heard of Alexei as a 10 year old but cannot recall if it was via the medium of bbc2 or channel 4, he excited me and I felt connected, maybe as we were both scousers and he was rubbing shoulders with British comedy elite. Sadly for me, I never acted upon this connection and learned more or followed his career with anything more than a passing interest but I felt excited again to see he was the guest on this weeks book-shambles. Upon listening I immediately realised the folly of the last 30 years of my life, what a fantastically funny and intelligent man. I aim to try and put this right with immediate effect, thank you Alexei.
