2 kids debt free plan thank you
I trapped both kids in the car and made them listen to this. It raised great conservation and helped the kids realize the gift we are giving our kids of graduating debt free. My kids were great students and could have been accepted into some “prestigious” schools. My son was accepted and decided to attend community college. At 2k a semester he completed his associates and can pay his last 2 years out of the modest 529 we saved. I did feel pressure from competition and comments from other parents but now I am thrilled to tell people he will have no students loans. My daughter is an athlete. She was accepted to all schools and was recruited by D1 and D2 D3 schools. Her peers opted to go to D1 with scholarships of 500 or only book costs covered but the prestige of D1. My daughter received no athletic money. (D3 do not give athletic scholarships)but chose an average private school with a new D3 program and revived over 45 k in academic and art scholarships. I am paying 18k less a year compared to her friends going to the “prestigious” private and state schools. We are able to cash flow and use her 529 to pay. School choice and negotiation key. In the end she had 2 favorites one was 9k more a year. Although it was her first choice she decided on the the cheaper option due to this program. Thank you AO and Ramsey team..

A must listen for any parent or student getting ready for college who don’t hear the scary side of student loans while...Read full review »

Take it from someone who had a little over $45,000 in student loan debt. Education is so worth it if you pay cash for it. You want college to be a blessing and not a burden. Give this podcast a listen and challenge your understanding about student loans. Do it. What do you have to lose?
