I really want to like this
The show started off pretty promising. I like the whole concept and that it gives us short daily episodes. The issue I'm having with the show is that after over 110 episodes, nothing has really happened. I shouldn't say nothing, there are a few things that we learn, but then nothing really builds upon it. Most episodes are about a woman venting, talking about life and typically it's venting about the same thing over and over. After about 50 episodesI started to grow a bit tired of the same thing over and over but I kept listening, hoping that there would be a shift in the story or something exciting happening but from episode 10 to episode 110 they are more or less in the exact same spot with a few points that I won't spoil. We learn a little bit about the protagonist and even less about Birdie but after 110 episodes, we should know a lot about them. I really wanted to like this and I was really hoping that the story would pick up but it just seems to be very slow moving. I totally understand that this is the point of the podcast and if you were someone that likes that kind of stuff, then this is definitely for you, but for me, someone who likes a bit of a faster paced story, character development, and a plot that moves along faster, this isn't for me. I really hope that people enjoy it though. I may come back to this in a couple months and see if it's progressed.Read full review »

I’ve always been a massive fan of Lauren Shippen, and I’m loving where this is going. We’re getting world building already in less than 20 minutes and it’s so good!

A good slow reveal story, no bells and whistles but immersive. I recommend giving it a go
