Guys, I would send you an email but I can't find an address. Your episode on Eastern Religion where Kellen discussed Buddhism was a very good synopsis. A few tips to clear up some of the points: The First Noble Truth is the statement that suffering exists in the world, not that life is suffering. Each of the truths has 3 aspects that need to be penetrated to or fully experienced. Thus, we have to feel the experience of suffering. The third truth, the cessation of suffering, directs us to experience the end of suffering, which is possible. Once we get intimate with what suffering feels like and how we create it we can also have the experience of not suffering. Cory asked what happens when you achieve enlightenment: no, you don't disappear, you cease to suffer. Karma can be simply understood as cause-and-effect. This causes that.
