Hometown Murders sets a new standard to the true-crime genre that's been blowing up recently. I really love the narrative structure which is enhanced by the tight editing which ensures they're getting straight to the point,Read full review »

We’ve all listened to true crime. But this just hits home a little more with the hometowns mentioned. Makes you think it could happen anywhere…. Crazy stuff!

I listen to a lot of true crime podcasts. This is an interesting and short show to give you that little taste of you’re on the go. I enjoyed the Atlanta episode. Love the pod, learning about true crime i've never heard about before and will certainly do some research myself now my interest has been picqued. Like the format and each episode under an hour is a winner for me. I can listen in one go without having to stop halfway though. Happy to share...Read full review »

Trying to listen to the Falklands episode, and what the hell is going on with the audio? There’s plenty of info, and it does seem well researched, but the intrusive background noises almost ruin it. At first I thought it sounded like a particularly crackly open fire, but it isn’t, as the sequence...Read full review »

Thanks for the Episodes on Syrian War, gave me a good basis to start trying to get to grips with this horrific and ongoing conflict. Full review at: andyspodcasterpodcastingpodcast.com - Syrian War Episode.

Glad to see the podcast is improving in audio quality and presentation. The Syria podcast had pretty annoying drums all the way through but glad to see that hasn’t been used in more recent episodes and the audio quality has started to improve (maybe check out post production techniques and diy...Read full review »

Just attempted to listen to the Indian mutiny episode, I lasted 5 minutes. It sounded like a student reading a textbook, I couldn’t carry on.

I only listened to the first 5 minutes if the Spanish American War episode, but quickly tuned out after realizing it was a monotone reading of the Wikipedia page. I guess this could be useful for someone unable to read, but please, do some research and inject some creativity into your show!

Background music is annoying.

While the content is interesting, I’d like a more dynamic presentation style- the narrator sounds like he’s reading a script, which isn’t as engaging. Other history podcasts I like are good at inserting a personal touch into the history, which makes it more engaging and fascinating
ayesha23!!!! via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 05/06/18
I have enjoyed the topics greatly. Good first steps. However, there are some flaws that bring down my rating. The podcast itself sounds like it’s being recorded in an big empty room causing an annoying echo. Also Mr. Knight, the echo along with your background music/drums make it difficult at...Read full review »
