Series 18 is awfully one sided, politically
Despite mentioning the MC’s homophobia, the damage done to her family, to queer people, to women, to sexual safety is not explored by the hosts. The need to challenge and change gender and intimate society from a deeply conservative christian position to one of progressive values is not explored. There’s almost…too much and not enough scandal. I know most scandalous women tend to not get honetrapped or cheat insurance companies with faked deaths but as an international listener, i’m unclear still which part of this MC is scandalous. The post series interview with the journalist basically says “she’s right, ho ho what a twist that she was right” but rings as hollow as the rest. Also theres less and less asides per series, why is that?

More reviews of British Scandal
Different take on American scandal in that the hosts break for banter and comments through the story. A good balance between a serious topic and funny commentary.

One of my favourite discoveries this year, Matt Forde continues to be the country’s best political comedian making complex ideas accessible and hilarious, his banter with Alice Levine elevating the show to ‘must listen’ status. A great team delivering a great podcast on a great subject - get on it!

Content good and interesting but hosts commentary juvenile and incongruous which detracts from subject matter. Otherwise would have given 5 stars.
